Just moments before the photo was taken, Lily-Mae, five, had been sitting in the car with her dad when a fuming driver got out of his vehicle and punched the pair's car window so hard it shattered.
The incident left Karl 35, with a black eye, a cut on the bridge of his nose and blurred vision.
Karl, from Worcester, West Midlands, had been driving down the A38 dual carriageway in Droitwich on Saturday morning...

NS the ruling on children in a car seat is they can sit in the front of the car so long as it does not have an airbag. And judging from his car I would say that is the case.

What's the ruling... didn't think you can have nippers in the front (air bags etc)?? Seems like to me he should have never pulled over,,,, especially with a 5 year old in tow

Not being funny but the little girl doesn't exactly look terrified, more so she has the look of a child that has just witnessed her 'hero' believing like n idiot and being made to look like a complete tool.
Disappointment, pure disappointment on that little girl's face.

He said: "We had overtaken each other a few times down the road, but it wasn't as if it was stupid behaviour, it was just normal overtaking, but then he signalled to me to pull over.

"He was being so threatening towards me; it looked like he was going to hit me, so I pushed him away in self-defence.
Well that's why he got a slap then, next time don't push someone then cry when they hit you.
